Need to celebrate! →
On the 21st March 2011, we started our first craft group at the Lee Green Community Centre. Shortly afterwards, we called ourselves Funky Fibres Craft Group, now resident in The Edmund Halley pub. I can’t believe we’ve been going a year, AND I totally forgot to mark it, especially as I like birthdays! We need to celebrate! The link shows our 1st night. Thank you to everyone...

Dorset Button making
My crafty friend, @purple_claire, showed me how to make these, after she went to a workshop at Stag & Bow in Forest Hill. Dorset buttons date back to the 18th century, in Dorset, England. They were originally made on a disc cut from the horn of a Dorset Horn sheep, which was covered with needle-worked thread.
